Originally from South Bend, Rose is no stranger to Notre Dame. After receiving her BA in American Studies and Peace Studies from ND, though, she decided it was finally time to leave Indiana and pursue her love of both social justice and the mountains out West. Rose spent one year with JVC Northwest serving houseless youth in the greater Portland suburbs before relocating to Montana. While there, she completed her Master’s of Arts in History at Montana State University, examining the role that disability and gender played in creating America’s first national park. Even though she enjoyed her time in Montana, she decided it was time to move back home to take on the role as Assistant Director of Gender Equity at the Gender Relations Center. In this position, Rose helps create programming that empowers undergraduate and graduate women while also highlighting the unique challenges they may experience.
In her spare time, Rose enjoys hiking, taking care of her many plants, and discovering new coffee shops in her hometown.
