Bekah is an Assistant Attorney General with the Special Litigation Bureau of the Illinois Office of the Attorney General. In this work on behalf of the people of Illinois, she handles high priority complex affirmative and defensive litigation and investigations in areas including police reform, gun violence reduction, and false claims. Prior to this work, she worked as an Associate at Ropes & Gray LLP, focusing her work on anti-trust and international risk and compliance investigations and litigation for international companies and representing asylees in immigration matters. She graduated from Marquette University with a Bachelor of Arts in 2013 and from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 2017, both with cum laude honors. She also completed a volunteer year with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in the Orleans Public Defenders’ Office. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she’s lived in Chicago with her husband, Ryan, and their rescue pup, Riggy, since graduation from NDLS and loves all things Midwest.
